Photo restoration, done properly

A photograph is a physical object, and physical objects fail: they tear, they fade, they collect scratches and water stains. Restoration is the work of putting that back — not replacing it with a picture that merely looks like the person.

What we actually repair

Tears and creases where the print was folded. Scratches from years in a drawer. Water stains and mold spots. Silvering and fading, the slow loss of contrast that makes an old portrait look grey. Missing corners, bent edges, and the yellow cast that comes from decades of light.

We work from a scan or a phone photograph of the print. You do not need special equipment — lay the photo flat in even daylight, shoot it straight on, and we handle the perspective correction and cropping.

Faces are the part we protect

Generative models are very willing to invent a face that looks plausible but was never there. That is not restoration, it is replacement, and it is the most common way this work goes wrong.

Our process isolates the facial features and repairs around them: sharpening stays conservative, texture is preserved rather than smoothed away, and a human artist reviews the result before it reaches you. If a face genuinely cannot be recovered, we say so instead of guessing.

Who this is for

Families digitising a box of prints. People preparing a photograph for a funeral, a wedding, an anniversary. Anyone who has one picture of a grandparent and wants it to survive another generation.

We take single photos and archive batches — packs of five run from $79, and mixed damage within a batch is fine.

Common questions

How much does photo restoration cost?

Standard is $19 and covers scratches, creases, fading and stain removal. Premium is $39 and adds colorization and facial detail work. Deluxe is $79 and adds print-ready upscaling to 32 megapixels. Archive packs start at $79 for five photos.

How long does photo restoration take?

Within 24 hours for Standard and Premium. Deluxe is typically the same. Rush delivery can be arranged through the chat if you need a specific date.

Can you restore a photo that is torn in half?

Usually yes, as long as both halves exist. Send us a photo of all the pieces and we will tell you honestly what is achievable before you pay. If a large area is missing, we tell you what has to be reconstructed rather than presenting an invention as fact.

Do I need to send the original print?

No. Send a scan or a phone photograph of the print. Lay it flat in even daylight, avoid flash and direct sun, and shoot straight on. Most customers do exactly this.
